West Side Story Starring Tony Award Winner Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel in OBC of RENT and 2005 Movie)

Open Auditions for Males ONLY! Males needed to fill out “Jets” and “Sharks”. ALL FEMALE ROLES ARE CAST.

Auditions are 10/27/19 at 12pm. All male roles are open EXCEPT Tony! Tony will be played by Tony award winner Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel in RENT Original Broadway Cast and 2005 Movie)

Please prepare either Jets Song or Cool for auditions. You will be taught a dance and may be asked to do a cold read.

Rehearsals will be Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursdays in HAGERSTOWN MD beginning November 5th. You may not be needed for all rehearsals.

Performance dates are January 17 and 18 at the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown MD. You must be available for both performances.

The world’s greatest love story takes to the streets in this landmark Broadway musical that is one of the theatre’s finest accomplishments.

Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is transported to modern-day New York City as two young, idealistic lovers find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the “American” Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice is one of the most innovative, heart-wrenching and relevant musical dramas of our time.
