ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Real Talk is a short film featuring 4 High School students facing a variety of issues ranging anywhere from, the perceived importance of social acceptance, to the everyday pressures of being a teenager in school. We are introduced to the characters when one of the leads sends out a mass invitation to a house party that was forbidden by her parents. As we watch them prepare, we hear their inner thoughts allowing the audience to gain a deeper perspective of each character’s personal challenges. The culmination of the story occurs when a terrible event unfolds at the party.

Brad
16 year old football superstar and a bit of a hot head. Brad’s parents are confident that his talents will take him all the way to the NFL but what Brad’s parents don’t know is that Brad has a substance abuse problem.

Jess
16 year old president of the science club, shy girl who wants to be a doctor to find a cure for cancer. A bit of a wallflower Jess has the full support of her father and the school faculty but has no presence in the student body.
